About this project
B.R. Howard was contracted to work with architects and site curators at the Eastern State Penitentiary in Philadelphia to perform an environmental monitoring study of the temperature and humidity in sections of the historic facility.
The penitentiary was being renovated and rooms needed to be converted for long term collection storage.
BRH used the data we gathered along with structural reports provided to develop a master plan for the storage needs, and address the minimum archival cabinet requirements to house the collections.
